I'm so glad you read it! I honestly had such a fun time with the text establishing bit and trying to work through what it is about haikyuu that lends to such a shippy fandom when that wasn't really what I picked up from the work personally
since writing this I've had other conversations, notably with ingoodjest, who brought up the way that haikyuu being a sports manga is a big factor too, since sports are one of the rare realms in which men are allowed and encouraged to show outward emotion, so there's a lot to work with if you want to ship people!
also I'll confess I've only read the entries/excerpts that I specifically quoted from funny weather but they really made me think I should read the rest so maybe I'll bump it up on my to read list too and we'll end up going through it around the same time... maybe let's discuss it when we've both gotten to it!
